Carol McGrath is an artist specializing in Trompe L'oeil  (fool the eye) painting.  In today's vernacular, it might compare with a 'virtual reality' type of painting.   A solid door becomes a multi-shelved, deeply  recessed cabinet,  filled with personal treasures.
